The mats are, generally, made from jute, cane or wool with use of vibrant colored weaving art spread on them.
The export of value added products such as handloom mats, Powerloom mats, powerloom mattings, Coir ruges & carpet, geotextiles, Coir and other sorts, Coir rope and semi-finished items such as coir yarn decreased both in terms of quantity and value compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Korai is a Natural Product – a sort of thick grass, grown locally for the purpose of manufacturing Mats. This grass has no side effects on the body of the Users.
