Adjoining Delhi lays Haryana, which is famous for local handicrafts and agricultural equipments carved in style. Though, the chief form of occupation is agriculture; still, handicrafts have their own significance. Among the designer art and crafts, pottery is seen in full fledge. It is in the Jhajjar and Rohtak districts that pitchers are made for various purposes. From daily usages to showpieces, these pitchers and flower vases bear extremely wonderful paintings and hand work. The use of vibrant colors makes it possible for the artisans to attract people in the first look. After all, they know the art of molding thoughts of the people in an arty shape.
Some of the other handicrafts prevalent in Haryana are cane or bamboo basket making, tilla juttis and Sundhra hot case. The Sundhra hot case is a basket made from reeds and are meant to keep the chapattis warm. Even, the tilla juttis have classic embroidery that makes it look trendy. All this speaks about the creativity of Haryanvi craftsmen.
